Winter Words with Jane Mayer (5:30 p.m., Paepcke Auditorium, Aspen Institute Campus). Join Aspen Words in the final installment in their Winter Words series with best selling author Jane Mayer. Follow our Instagram stories on @AspenCo as we lead you through Jane’s discussion of her best-selling and critically acclaimed nonfiction books that discuss politics, culture, and national security.
moe. at Belly Up (7:30 p.m., Belly Up). Spend your Tuesday evening with preeminent progressive rock band, moe. With 20 years of touring and just as many albums under its belt, the quintet of Al Schnier and Chuck Garvey on guitars and vocals, Rob Derhak on bass and vocals, Jim Loughlin on percussion and vibes, and Vinnie Amico on Drums, continues to push the standard for performance art. Movies at the Museum: Fido (5:15 p.m., Aspen Art Museum). Join the Aspen Art Museum in their free Movies at the Museum series with Wednesday’s film, Fido. Fido features a nightmarish 1950s-esque world that has survived a zombie apocalypse, painfully funny interactions between the living and the dead reveal that zombies might be the more upstanding citizens.
Thursday, March 14
Après Ski Cocktail Class (through March 17, various locations throughout town). Spend your weekend in a slope-side celebration featuring a Grand Tasting Village, artisanal craft cocktails, seminars by award-winning mixologists, snow parties, pop-up bars, demonstrations, fireside chats, spirit-paired dinners, special on-mountain events and The Great Après Ski Pup Crawl. Wild & Scenic Film Festival (6:30 p.m., Wheeler Opera House). ACES and Patagonia Snowmass are hosting the fifth annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Thursday night. This special evening will showcase internationally acclaimed short films that both inform and inspire attendees to act. Proceeds from the event will benefit ACES' Tomorrow's Voices program, which provides civics and environmental leadership education to regional high school students. Chromeo at Belly Up (9:30 p.m., Belly Up). Electric-funk duo Chromeo will be performing on Thursday night. You can expect music drawing from soul, dance music, rock, synth-pop, disco, and funk. Purchase tickets at the box office or online here.
Friday, March 15
Bud Light Spring Jam (through March 31, various locations on all four mountains). The 19th annual Bud Light Spring Jam, the premier spring festival in the Rocky Mountains, will bring two weeks of competitions, downtown concerts and parties to Aspen. Don’t miss out and view the full schedule here.
JAS Café: Niki Haris & The Mitch Forman Quartet (through March 16, The Cooking School of Aspen). Vocalist Niki Haris will be performing Friday night and sharing her ebullient, swinging-style, drenched in the sound of blues. Purchase tickets online here.
Saturday, March 16
The Steeldrivers at the Wheeler Opera House (7:30 p.m., Wheeler Opera House). Head to Wheeler Opera House this Saturday night for the timeless and rich sounds of The Steeldrivers who conjure up music drenched in soul, blues, bluegrass, R&B, country, and rock ’n’ roll. Purchase tickets online here.

Sunday, March 17
Helly Hansen 4 Mountain Mission (12:00 p.m., Snowmass Mountain to Aspen Mountain). The Helly Hansen 4 MTN Mission will take you on an adventure across the four ski areas of Aspen Snowmass. Starting in Snowmass and ending in Aspen, there will be two separate missions with one that highlights some of our best intermediate and expert terrain and another geared towards families that will stick to more beginner to intermediate terrain.
Monday, March 18
History Ski Tour: Aspen Highlands (11 a.m. and 1 p.m., guest service cabin outside Merry Go Round). Ski with a local historian to learn about Aspen Highlands’ “maverick”, innovative, and unique past. These tours meet every Monday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The tours are free, but a lift ticket is required to get to the meeting location.
Humans in Space (7:30 p.m., Hallam Lake) Join ACES in their final program in Winter Astronomy Nights. In this program, you’ll learn the who, what, where, and why of our cosmic ventures.
