Internationally known ski resort, Aspen lives up to its world-class reputation in more ways than one—four actually. With Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass all accessible with the purchase of one lift ticket, visitors can explore each mountain’s diverse terrain and unique atmosphere. Experts swear by Aspen Mountain's steep glades and bump-runs, while big-mountain enthusiasts always hit Highlands (a.k.a. the local’s mountain) for Highland Bowl—hands down the best in-bounds backcountry experience in the state. Families flock to Snowmass for its superior size and runs to match any level, while Buttermilk is best for beginners and park riders.
